Hey, so this week has been fun with the surprise Pday on Monday.
Tuesday we were in A Coruña all day, inviting people to the open doors of the new chapel. We got back at like 10:30, so that was a long day.
Wednesday, Elder Bennett went down to Vigo to do an intercambio with our zone leader there, and the Vigo district leader, Elder Holt, came up to Vilagarcia. We had a blast! We had a lesson with Olimpio and he told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is true and that Jose Smith is a prophet of God. We asked him what was holding him back from be baptized and he said tithes. He doesn't understand it and thinks that because he doesn't work and doesn't have income, he can't pay and so he can't be baptized, or something like that. We will see this Wednesday when we teach him again. We also did some passbys.
Thursday we got in contact with Manuel and things are progressing with him slowly. Hopefully we can get him progressing again and back on a date. He knows it all. We just have to find out what's up with him. Then we did a lot of passbys and tried meeting people and, well, it was a good day.
Friday was a good day. We had a bunch set up but most of it didn't work out. In the morning we had interviews with President and that was good.
Saturday we had a a good day of work and just had some lessons and met with our ward mission leader.
Sunday, Soledad and Isabela came to church and we had a lesson with them and it was good. Then later that night, we met with Miguel and he was doing good. He hides the Book of Mormon from his wife and any other stuff we give him 'cause his wife doesn't want him to meet with us. He wants to progress but we only ask him to read and pray because we don't want to hurt his family. We are praying that his wife will open up to the idea of God and all of this.
The only other thing is there is some huge festival going on right now in Vilagarcia and we have so many people to talk to, so it's fun and funny. It's all for some Saint and some medieval thing. It's funny - you can't even tell it's for the church. It's weird and everyone parties so hard, they can't go to church.
Hope you all have a great week,
Elder MacKay
