Tuesday we met with the president of the elders (Elder's Quorum president) all morning then we had medio dia (meal in the middle of the day). Then we met with our crazy amigo and then with Razhid. He is a less active and it sounds like he is trying to use the church for money. I really hope he is not. He is from the Middle East and a great guy. Then we had our weekly family home evening with the Guzman's who are from the Dominican Republic. The mother makes the most amazing food - just got to love her food! We had a great message about the Atonement.
Wednesday we passed by menos activos (less actives) in the morning and then ate at Dora's. She always feeds us. Then we met with Virginia. We were very excited to meet with her because she called us to confirm our meeting, but it turns out it was just a class thing that her and her friends were doing, learning about a church. Then we had the worldwide missionary thing for the rest of the night.
Thursday we had planning in the morning. Then we planned to stop by to see William, who is from Africa, but he didn't show up. We did a menos activos pass by instead. We went to see Kosi, our Ghana friend. We wanted to see why he was meeting with us. He is reading and going to church and willing to meet with us a couple times a week but won't commit to a baptismal date. It turns out he thought he couldn't get married after he was baptized. So, we cleared that up and now he is set to be baptized on the 13th of February.
Friday we met with Jenny, a menos activo. Then we went to see Kosi to talk about the baptism interview questions. That was rough because he gets way off topic, but it was all right. Then we got fired (either this means they were stood up or were definitely told no) and fired again, so we did a pass by.
Saturday we got fired, but it was in Arganda del Rey so we stayed and just contacted out there. There was a baptism for Gerbert, taught by the Hermanas, and we brought Kosi. He said the final yes to baptism. We will get ready for the 13th. If he does not have any problems, he will be all good for that. Then we got fired so we contacted and then had a cita (appointment) with Carlos and his family - it was great. We got home late.
Sunday we were able to meet with the Young Men's President before consejo (ward council). Then we had the chance to stand in on Gerbert's confirmation. Church was awesome. We ate at the Guzmans and then again at Hermana Matilte's. We met with the first counselor of the bishop and his friend who is very rich and has a very nice house at the very end of Arganda del Rey. It took us an hour and half to get there, but they gave us a ride back home.
Today we cleaned because we have transfers next week and then we went to the Park of Europe. It was fun - we took lots of pictures.
Have a great week!
