Hey,
So, last week for p-day we played Lobos. Its like Mafia. We went to the to the mall and got some things I needed. Then we contacted for the rest of the night.
Tuesday we contacted all morning, then ate at a member's house for mediodía. We had a lesson with Joseph and his sister. We thought we made it clear that we wanted to teach her the lessons but it was wasn't. So, we are going to clear up things with her next time we talk to her. Then we had a noche de hogar with the Guzmans.
Wednesday we had district meeting. It was fun. Then we contacted for a couple hours. We had a meeting with Hema it went really good. Her kids were there and she loved the message about families, but as always her angels came up. She would be a perfect investigator if she wasn't crazy. Then we had English class and a noche de hogar.
Thursday we had a lesson and the investigator was excited because we can cook. That was our morning because it was in Arganda del Rey and it's an hour away by metro. Then we were fired by our investigators. So, we contacted and passed by less actives. We went to a party at the assistant ward mission leader's home, Victor, who is very much less active lol. We played Cover Your Assets and ate some food that was really good (I can't remember the name). Then we went back to the piso and played Settlers of Catan until 12. After, we ate our 12 grapes - guess that's a tradition here (The tradition consists of eating a grape with each bell strike at midnight of December 31. According to the tradition, that leads to a year of prosperity). I just did it because the other elders wanted to.
Friday we planned in the morning, then had mediodía at a members. After, we had an appointment with a less active. He has some big problems so we are going to try to help him as much as we can. Then we had a cena cita with Rosa and we had African fried rice. It was sooooooooo good! We shared a message about Christ and changing for the new year. We meet with Kosi who, we found out, has met with the missionaries for over a year. This was our second meeting with him and we challenged him to be baptized. The Spirit was strong and he knows the church is true and wants to be baptized but feels like he needs to talk with his father who lives in Ghana. This will be interesting! He ended up going the the 9:30 church instead of our 11:00 church but, at least he came to church. Friday night, Victor's mom or "super abuela" invited us over.
Saturday we passed by less actives and contacted all day.
Sunday was an awesome fast Sunday, for what I was awake for lol! All that Spanish gives me a headache, so I ended up falling asleep haha! Then we contacted and called everyone that was out-of-town for the holidays and filled up this week.
It's been raining very lightly all week. Can't wait to hear more from you guys next week.
