So this week has been busy. We more or less finished the piso cleaning. I was told that we would have gotten a celestial piso, but she (Sister Pack) knew that it had been cleaned just this week and wanted my comp to learn that we can't just clean for this inspection. It should always be clean. I really had to work with him to get him to clean today. I get it - we have been cleaning all week, but we need to keep it clean and he just wants to go out and party on Mondays, but I got him to clean tonight so at least I got that out of him.
Well my new area is tough. It's been opened for six months and it has part of one of the first wards to be opened in Spain. But, no one has worked in the outer parts much, so it's just like Vilagarcia. There are more members than Vilagarcia, but I only know of one family that is less active. We are working with them and with one member who works a lot. He is soooooooooo cool! Like if I could be this guy when I'm older, it would be cool. These members are a bit tough to work with, but today we are meeting with the elder's quorum leader and will find out. We have an awesome ward mission leader who is great. He just lives far so it's tough sometimes.
Well, this week I got an email from an investigator and it's anti Mormon stuff. It's soooooooooo dumb, like why we shouldn't pray to know if things are true and stuff; like more books and baptisms for the dead and all of it is bad understandings of what is being said in the Bible; like the scripture that we use to show that there are baptisms for the dead is just a bad understanding - so, dumb stuff. Sad that he got tricked by this stuff. He is an investigator from this area. He was progressing slowly and then stopped, I guess. I found out because my comp would just ask if he was reading the scriptures and I felt impressed to ask about his reading and he was avoiding the question. I got it out of him that he didn't like reading the Book of Mormon and only the Bible so that's how it started
Also, we have a friend, Gloria, who isn't picking up or responding to our texts. Hopefully she is on vacation or something like that. Then we have a 17 year old friend, Julian, and we are working on getting him to read. It's hard stuff to get teenagers to read scripture, but I think he will.
Well, my comp wanted to come to Sol, so I'm here again, lol. He loves Sol! He has been here so much in his mission.
Well hope you all have a great week.
Love ya,
Elder MacKay
