The MTC was established in 1999 and dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley. It's located in east Madrid next to the Spain Madrid Temple on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors in a building that includes a distribution center and a family history center. The MTC has classrooms, a large meeting room, offices, a language learning lab, missionary residences, and a cafeteria.
MTC SCHEDULE
Craig was in the Missionary Training Center from October 27th to December 9th. The six weeks went by fast as he studied Castilian Spanish and learned all about how to become a good missionary. He said the food was kind of funny but good. Thursday was P-day and that's when he wrote and read his e-mails.
There's a pretty tight schedule in the MTC. The missionaries get up at 6:30am, have breakfast at 7:00am, then study for several hours. They break for lunch at noon then return to their studies until 5:00pm. Then it's time for an hour and a half of sports followed by dinner at 6:30pm. Then it's back to studying and lights out at 10:30pm.
