Well this week and half have been good. Last week was fun. Not much happened, but Tuesday, we had nothing to do, so we took a bus out to this village way out in nowhere. We passed by some members, the Van family, that aren't active and they were outside talking with their neighbor. Funny coincidence that we passed by because Monday night these same members asked for someone to come and give their neighbor, Jose, a blessing. Our ward mission leader went with some other member and didn't tell us. He had asked Jose if he would be down to meet with us. Well, we met with the members and they are from Belgium. They speak English better than Spanish, so we speak English with them. They invited us to eat and it was really good. I have gotten used to not eating dinner so I couldn't eat much, sadly. We missed the bus so they took us home in car. We got home at 11 and, well, we are should be home at 10:30, so we felt bad, but it was soooooo worth it. Well, fun stuff with them.
Wednesday was slow and Thursday, too. Friday everyone failed us. Saturday we met with Maria and she is going slowly, but is progressing. We are working on getting her to church.
Sunday we met with some Romanians and, well, they keep inviting us back, but they are looking for the church they are in and, well, we are not the same. They are having a hard time with any differences from the Bible. Like the smallest thing sets them off and they pull out the scriptures in Revelations! So I don't know if they will progress, but we will try to help them, but we will see.
Monday I when with Elder Holt and Elder Farmer stayed with Elder Wade. I was in Torrejón and had an awesome day. I really got to know Elder Holt. This was my third time working with him and this time was the best. We had soooo much fun and we really helped each other. Elder Holt keeps telling me I'm going to be the district leader next transfer and I don't really want to, but we will see what happens. Elder Wade was in Colsada with Elder Farmer and they did a bunch of finding. Elder Wade loves talking to people in the street so he was happy. They also had a lesson with Julian and, well, he isn't reading and I don't think Elder Farmer gets how important it is that he reads. I think he just wants to be his friend so I don't know what to do with him, but whatever.
Yesterday we met with the Van family from Belgium again. Their neighbor, Jose, felt too sick to come. He is going to the hospital a couple times a week (granted going to the hospital isn't as big of a deal here cus health care is free, but he isn't doing well). Well, it turns out that the Van family has been talking to everyone about us, passing out our number, talking about English class and about us as missionaries. Well, when two Americans come walking up the side of your mountain wearing dress clothes, everyone has questions, so we will see what comes of this. We invited them to come to watch General Conference at the stake center by the temple so they can see it in English with us... so now I have an excuse to go and see it in English!!!!!!!!
Well we went to Toledo today. It was the 4th time, lol. I'm so lucky - like I don't even get that excited anymore. It was funny seeing Elder Holt and Hermana Sam be amazed and it be old for me.
Well, that was my week - it was fun. Transfers on Monday! We will see what happens - if Elder Farmer goes or if something crazy happens.
Have a great week
