We were surprised with this letter last Friday:
So on Tuesday we got surprised that we are flying to Madrid today, and we are here. Today is my p-day, so ready, set, write, lol! I won't have much time to write, so yea :( Anyways, we are only can email for 2 hours from now on. Also, I'm excited to see Elder Bednar tomorrow.
Well, the work is going great in Vilagarcia - slow, but steady. Hope you all have a great week. I won't have a Pday until next Monday, so you all won't hear from me for a little bit.
Love you guys,
Elder Craig MacKay
Ps: still send me emails, please, even if I can't respond for a little while
Then, on Monday morning, we got this email:
So today, Monday, the zone leader calls. Elder Bennett found out that we do have Pday, so yea, kinda weird, but whatever. Hope to hear more from y'all.
Sounds like everyone is doing great and that Ashley had a good weekend. Glad that Tori is doing great. I was excited to hear about Isaac's call (Lima, Peru) - that's so cool! After the missions, It will be funny talking with him, lol. As I talk with South American people and Spanish people, it is funny hearing what each word means in Spain Spanish and South American Spanish.
So this week was fun. I really enjoyed Elder Bednar. It was a really good interactive meeting. We could ask questions and talk with him if he called on us. I didn't get a chance to talk, but it was cool seeing all the questions that I had answered in the end. The two big points he pushed were that 1) everything we asked we could find out on our own - but it was cool hearing it from him and having him clarify everything. 2) That we need to act in faith. He had us study 4 talks beforehand and that really helped. I really like his focus that we need to act and then we will receive his help, or then we will know if our choice is what we should do. We need to act first, but with faith.
So yesterday we got back to the Vilagarcia a little bit into the second hour (we had to wait at the Vigo airport for an hour for a bus, so that we could get to the Vigo train station). Isabelle still has not come to church so it's going to be awhile before we reset her on a fecha. Her family, I guess, doesn't get why church is important, so that will be interesting. We found an old investigator of Elder Bennett's who had a fecha, but we lost contact. So we have talked with him, but not much. We still don't know what happened.
Well hope y'all have a great week!
Elder Craig MacKay
