Well, I changed my p-day so I could go to the Valle de los Caído, so I'll send pictures!!!
This week was fun. All our friends were busy and so all week we spent a lot of time talking to new people, but it was fun. I got sick, but it wasn't bad, so we kept at it. We also dropped a friend or two who just didn't want anything, but didn't want to say it, so we dropped them. We started teaching a Cuban guy, whose wife is a member. It was funny - he just kept wanting to talk about other things and Elder Mangum saw that I was get a bit annoyed and started laughing during the lesson. He is cool and I hope he keeps his commitments!!! Also we did some reactivation activities with the young women, but the girl that we were going to visit and include came to the activity, so we did it to her dad instead. It was funny.
Conference was great! All the members were surprised that we were watching it on Saturday and told us it was the same thing both days. We had to explain that the talks are different each day a whole bunch of times! I don't think the Spanish get the whole two day thing. My favorite quote was "Salvation is personal but exaltation in based on families" (it sounded better in Spanish).
Monday was very unsuccessful. After lunch we went to a lesson and realized we left the keys in the piso and we spent all afternoon trying to open the door and get the spare key. In the end, I just went in the neighbor's piso and climbed over the roof to our patio. It has a door that doesn't lock and I got in. It was funny - the neighbors said a bunch of funny things. The mom was like, “But I'm scared you could get hurt!” and the daughter was like, “But other elders have done it before!” It was a funny conversation, but all is good now. We gave our ward mission leader a spare key, so we are all good now.
Well, that was my week. Take care, you guys!
