Hey, so this week was crazy! We had a lesson on Monday with Elisabeth and it was great. She said she wants to be baptized when she knows these thing are true, so it's cool. She came to the baptism of Isabella and that was cool. Also, she came to church, so it's like she just need to be baptized. Also I gave a talk on Sunday. At first our branch president asked me to give a testimony but I asked if he wanted me to give a talk. He was like, "I don't know if that's a good idea." So I insisted and he said okay. I gave one on faith and it was really good. I just was trying to teach Elisabeth because she was there and I was giving a talk, too. I was like, "Perfect! I'll get something ready for Elisabeth."
So this week was full of getting the baptism ready for Isabella. Even though it was a branch baptism, we set everything up so we didn't have to do it all and so we could plan a activity after with the help of the members. Well, everyone backed out, other than to bring food and give talks, so we had to make the programs, which turned out soo cool, and plan the activity after all by ourselves. Well, the baptism turned out great, but Isabella's family wanted to have a party at their house and took everyone with them lol, even though we planned the activity first and they asked if they could do the baptism beforehand so everyone would be there. But it was funny - lots of food for us elders lol.
Also, Miguel came to church and was nervous the whole time and left after the first hour. Turns out he lied to his wife because she didn't want him going to any church. It was funny but he liked it. We met with him later that night and taught him the Word of Wisdom and he took it like a champ. He was like, "I drink. I can't stop all at once, but I will stop." He gave us his word which means a lot to him, so he will. He is progressing so good and fast, too, for only being able to meet once a week. It is just too bad that his wife doesn't want him meeting with us. That's hard! Otherwise he would have a fecha and would be a member so fast cause he is so strong and takes everything thing we say like it is God himself saying it (we do make sure to share scripture so he can see where we got it from). He is so cool! He is in Alma and loves the Book of Mormon and knows it is true!!!
Well that's all I got!
Have a great week!
